& Lisa Roth

Well Said is a Brooklyn-based, women-owned business. We believe in asking questions, going all in, and calling it like we see it. We believe in innovation, iteration, and rigorous attention to detail. More than anything, we believe in making tomorrow better than today.

Alanna Stang

A former publishing executive, Alanna started her career as a packager and project manager for visual books. Later, as a magazine editor, she brought an innovative approach to both content and form as editor-in-chief of Whole Living at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and executive editor of Condé Nast’s Cookie, among other titles.

Alanna is the co-author of two books: The Green House: New Directions in Sustainable Architecture (Princeton Architectural Press, 2005) and Time for Dinner: Strategies, Inspiration, and Recipes for Family Meals Every Night of the Week (Chronicle Books, 2010). Born and raised in Los Angeles, she graduated from Vassar College and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two sons.

Lisa Roth

Lisa forged her signature combination of speed, sensitivity, and clarity in some of America’s top newsrooms, including The Chicago Tribune and The Financial Times. She then pivoted to public relations and fundraising before launching a school consulting group, Roadmap Brooklyn, to help parents navigate school options. In 2018, she returned to her editorial roots as founding editor of D&I In Practice, a site focused on covering workplace DEI initiatives.

Lisa serves on the New York Board of Facing History and Ourselves, an organization that fights bigotry and hate through education. She is also a long-serving member of ALLINBKLYN, a women’s giving circle committed to strengthening Brooklyn communities through philanthropy and a supporter of the Brooklyn-based Service Learning Project, which teaches students about the power of democracy. A graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, Lisa lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three sons
